Travel to Islay
By Car
Drive to Kennacraig. From Glasgow, this journey takes about 2.5 hours. Take the A82 up Loch Lomondside, turning onto the A83 at Tarbet. Continue on through both Inverarary and Lochgilphead towards Tarbert on Loch Fyne. The ferry port of Kennacraig is just five miles on from Tarbert. Please note that it is simply a terminal and not a town or village.

Caledonian MacBrayne run the two hour crossing which runs frequently throughout the year, with additional sailings in the Summer. British Airways Express runs a 35 minute scheduled service Monday to Saturday from Glasgow to Islay, in the morning and afternoon. The service is operated by Loganair. They can be contacted on + 44 (0) 1667 462445, or visit www.british-airways.com We can collect Machrie guests from the airport.
